About Me
A passionate sports fan from the day I first picked up a ball, my 5'11" wingspan and (basically) ten inch vertical doomed my hoops career to never last beyond high school. However, through my studies of mathematics (B.A. from the University of Virginia in 2022) and data science (M.S. from UVA's School of Data Science in 2023), I learned of a new path for me to apply my academic skills to the game I love, even if it isn't on the court. Since graduation, I have sought to create a portfolio of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data projects that showcase the myriad of ways that data can improve all aspects of basketball performance.
I am proficient in the Python, R, and SQL languages, and have worked a bit with Rust. While many of my projects are built with tabular data, I also have experience with geospatial and computer vision analysis as well, through my experience outside basketball. I seek to one day work in the basketball industry in some capacity, whether that be at the professional, college, or amateur level.
